Jade is an ornamental mineral, mostly known for its green varieties. Jade can be classified as two different minerals: nephrite and jadeite. Nephrite can be found in a creamy white form known as "mutton fat" as well as a variety of light green colors. Jadeite shows more color variation, including blue,red,black, dark green, lavender, and white. Much of the world's high-quality jadeite comes from Burma (Myanmar).
